The Pocket Territory Organizer is installed from the PC. There are a couple of items that are installed during the installation process. Please make sure you have the pc version of Pocket Territory Organizer 3.0 or higher before installing the Pocket Territory Organizer 2003. Also please make sure your pocket pc device is connected through ActiveSync to this pc.

Installation Instructions

1. Download the Pocket Territory Organizer 2003 Setup Program by clicking on the download link from the main page. Make sure the file you are downloading is called PocketTerrOrg2003Setup.exe. Save the file to "C:\TempPocket" (Create a folder called TempPocket in your C: Drive to save this file).

2. Make sure ActiveSync is running and you are connected to your pocket pc:

3. From the PC, Run the Pocket Territory Organizer 2003 Setup Program by going to "Start", then "Run", then "Browse" to the "C:\TempPocket" and select the file "PocketTerrOrg2003Setup.exe". This will start the installation and display this screen:

4. Click Next to continue to the next screen:

5. Click Next to continue to the next screen:

6. Click Install to start the installation. This will start installing programs to the pocket pc. The first one is "Microsoft .NET CF 2.0". Click yes to continue:

7. Once that program finishes installing, the next program will start installing to the pocket pc. This one is "Microsoft SQL Mobile 2005". Click yes to continue:

8. Once that program finishes installing, the next program will start installing to the pocket pc. This one is "Microsoft SQL Mobile 2005 [EN]". Click yes to continue:

9. Once that program finishes installing, the next program will start installing to the pocket pc. This one is "Microsoft .NET CF 2.0 ENU-String Resource". Click yes to continue:

10. Once that program finishes installing, the next program will start installing to the pocket pc. This one is "Pocket Territory Organizer 2003 PocketTerrOrg2003". This is the actual program. Click yes to continue:

11. Once that program finishes installing, click on finish to complete the installation:

12. Delete the "c:\TempPocket" folder.

13. You have successfully installed the program! To start using the program, just select the Territory Organizer program from "Start", "Programs", "PocketTerrOrg2003" from the pocket pc device. You should see a screen similar to this:

14. If you click on the dots ... ,you can change the ip address of the server. The default IP address should be fine. Note: the IP Address shown should not be changed unless you are familiar with this.

15. Please make sure to have the PC Version of the Territory Organizer 3.0 or later running and set to --> "Pocket PC" --> "Transfer" before you continue. This will allow the initial setup to continue:

16. The PC Version of the Territory Organizer 3.0 will now be waiting for connections. Please leave the default IP Address unless you are familiar with changing this:

17. Go back to the Pocket Territory Organizer program and click on start. The Initial Setup will now start:

18. Once complete, click ok and then click where it says "Click here to continue":

19. You will now be asked to assign a publisher to the pocket device. This is the publisher that will be using the device. The "Get Latest" button gets the latest list of publishers. We don't need to do this now because we just got the latest list. If you are ready to assign a publisher to this pocket pc, select a publisher from the list and click on "Assign". If you are not ready to do this now, you can click on Exit and assign it later. Note: The pocket pc must be connected to the PC if you will be doing this later.

20. Once you click on exit you will be at the main menu. From here you can go to any territory by selecting it and clicking on the go button:

21. Once you click on the go button you have various options to be performed on the territory. Note: In order to check-out or check-in territories, you must be connected to the PC and have the PC version of Territory Organizer set to set to --> "Pocket PC" --> "Transfer":
