There are two options for the Territory Organizer Installation. You only need to do one of these two options. If you have never installed the program, follow the Full Installation Instructions. If you are upgrading from a previous version, follow the Upgrade Instructions.

Full Installation Instructions

1. Download the FULL Territory Organizer by clicking on the download link from the main page. Make sure the file you are downloading is called terrX.X.zip (X.X is the version number). Save the file to "C:\TempTerr" (Create a folder called TempTerr in your C: Drive to save this file).

2. If you already have winzip, you can skip this step. If you don't already have winzip, download a copy by clicking here Choose the "Save" option and save the file on the Desktop. Once the download completes, double click on the file on the Desktop to start the winzip installation.

3. Open the "C:\TempTerr" folder where you saved the territory organizer zip file that you downloaded in step 1 and double click on the terrX.X.zip file. (If you get a popup box after you click on the file, just click on "I Agree")

4. You should now see a window with three files like this: (Make sure the file names you see match the file names below)

5. Click on the "Extract" button. You will get a popup window. Notice where it says "Extract to:". Type in there "C:\TempTerr" and click on the extract button. It takes a couple of seconds to run the extract, then close the winzip program.

6. Run the territory organizer installation program by going to "Start", then "Run", then "Browse" to the "C:\TempTerr" and select the file "setup". This will start the installation. Once the installation is complete, you are done installing the program!

7. Delete the "c:\TempTerr" folder.

You have successfully installed the program! To start using the program, just select the Territory Organizer program from "Start", "Programs", "Territory Organizer"

Upgrade Instructions

Note: If you are comfortable with computers, all you have to do is Download the upgrade file and replace the existing files with the ones that where downloaded. Otherwise, refer to the guide below.

1. Download the UPGRADE Files for Territory Organizer by clicking on the download link from the main page and then selecting the upgrade files. Make sure the file you are downloading is called terrX.XUpgrade.zip (X.X is the version number). Save the file to "C:\TempTerr" (Create a folder called TempTerr in your C: Drive to save this file).

2. If you already have winzip, you can skip this step. If you don't already have winzip, download a copy by clicking here Choose the "Save" option and save the file on the Desktop. Once the download completes, double click on the file on the Desktop to start the winzip installation.

3. Open the "C:\TempTerr" folder where you saved the territory organizer UPGRADE file that you downloaded in step 1 and double click on the terrX.XUpgrade.zip file. (If you get a popup box after you click on the file, just click on "I Agree")

4. You should now see a window with three files like this: (Make sure the file names you see match the file names below)

5. Click on the "Extract" button. You will get a popup window. Notice where it says "Extract to:". Type in there "C:\TempTerr" and click on the extract button. It takes a couple of seconds to run the extract, then close the winzip program.

6. The next step is to Search for the existing version. We will be searching for a file called terrorg.exe that is located on your computer. Depending on what version of windows you have, your search could look a little different from below but the goal is the same: to find the folder circled in red below where the terrorg.exe is located. In windows 2000, Go to "Start", then select "Search", then select "For Files or Folders". Other versions of windows will be similar. Write down the folder you found and close the search window:

7. Open the windows explorer by right clicking on the start button and selecting "Explore". Then go over to the TempTerr folder:

8. Open the TempTerr folder, then select all the files in that folder(except for the terrX.XUpgrade.zip file) and select "copy". Then Open the folder you found in step 6 above and right click anywhere in that folder and choose "paste". This will copy the files from the C:\TempTerr folder to the folder you found in step 6 above.

9. Delete the "c:\TempTerr" folder.

10. This concludes the steps needed to upgrade your program without loosing any data.

You have successfully upgraded the program! To start using the program, just select the Territory Organizer program from "Start", "Programs", "Territory Organizer". You will see the new features in the program described in the program history.
